Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Team honours

Team honours

Finally, regarding to team honours, the situation is as follows:

Messi beats Cristiano Ronaldo in Olympic Gold Medals, Champions Leagues, National Leagues (although Cristiano Ronaldo has won leagues in two different countries), European Super Cups and National Super Cups (Cristiano has also won in Spain and England).

Cristiano instead can boast of having more Football League Cups, a trophy that does not exist in Spain that he won twice in England for Manchester United, and one European Championship won with Portugal.

Both have won 3 National Cups.

In short, we can say that Messi has managed 29 titles with FC Barcelona and one with Argentina (as always, without the U-20 World Cup).

When it’s all said and done messi has been in a better team earlier in his career and playing in a league were scoring is easier, CR7 on the other hand didn’t have that luxury playing for sporting and then in England where it is much harder to score, see the difference his numbers since he went to Spain, even has more hatrick in lesser time. I’m just happy to be able to see both of them play, still prefer watching the EPL more intense

That’s never a point of discussion.Just compare the trophies won by each player with their teams ever since they came into competition in Spain.Or are you trying to tell me that Real Madrid is not a great team as compared to Barcelona…

when CR started playing in Manchester, THAT was the best team in the world, winning champions and leages before CR… thats why Ferguson is who he is, and Ryan Giggs is the guy with the most trophys in history…. Man U was better than Barcelona and RM when he arrived there….. and if we count only trophys, or goals, or assists, or champions leage goals, or anything since CR got to RM, messi beats him…

He has spent 8 years at madrid out of 14 years career and won 9 trophies . Messi has won 17 trophies since ronaldos entry in Madrid the difference is 8 trophies.
Messi won more trophies in just 2 years ( 6 with Guardiola, 5 with Enrique) 2 more than 9 trophies ronaldo won in 8 years.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s honors which shows that he has won UEFA super cup (2016). How is this possible when he didn’t play the match nor he was in the squad. Moreover even his official website “http://www.cristianoronaldo.com” didn’t mention UEFA super cup (2016) under his trophies/honors.
Need clarification on this. ASAP. Thank you

Messi doesn’t score for glory but for the team victory compare to Ronaldo that score for his ego but not for club victory. if Real Madrid play with osasuna, and osasuna won 6-5. if it is Ronaldo that scored the 5 goals for Madrid, he will be happy but if it is Messi, he won’t be happy because what is the joy in scoring 5 goals and your club still lose the match.

Yes Messi is great, but not the greatest in his own country when compared to Maradona. He can’t live up to the expectations put on him when playing for his country. Put him on a team of super players like Barcelona and he is successful because he does not have to carry the team.

    • AB 19 de January de 2017 / 22:24
